About this fable
In this book, "Little Red Riding Hood" is reimagined to tell the story of a wildfire that destroys a forest and leaves a wolf homeless. Adapting the classic tale to today's reality, we show how communities can unite to protect our nature. And how important it is to talk today about the future of our planet.
Details matter
To make each story even more meaningful for children around the world, we adapted some details to different cultures, geographies, and biomes. This way, children can identify with the characters and the adventures each one experiences.
The characters
We created a Little Red Riding Hood for each country, adapting her ethnicity, features, and clothing to that culture. The same was done with the secondary (but very important) characters: the mother, the grandmother, and the hunter.
The animals
In our version, the wolf isn't bad. It's the one that suffers the most from the consequences of the fires started by the hunter.
Therefore, we adapted each story to show a species of wolf facing the risks associated with the climate emergency and direct human action, such as hunting, in its country of origin. Since, in Russia, the wolf is not threatened with extinction.
Nature
In a series about climate crises, nature is also an important character. We adapted the vegetation and biome to reflect the reality of each country. This way, children can recognize landscapes and better understand what is at risk if the emergencies are not addressed.

The architecture, the tableware, the food, and other small details bring each version of Little Red Riding Hood closer to children living in different places. Everything was designed so that they feel represented and identify with the story.
